Taking the shame out of ASKING FOR help.

SET-UP

With a wealth of untapped stories at their fingertips, we worked with GoFundMe to identify fundraising campaigns that would encourage more educators and students to use their platform, and ask for help in order to achieve their own goals.

STRATEGY

Our society doesn’t value help. We celebrate grit, independence, and self-sufficiency — those are seen as the foundation to every success story. But not with GoFundMe. There, it's the act of giving and receiving help that builds stronger people and communities. Together, we set out to show people that asking for help isn’t shameful, but a way to be successful.

Our films became an invitation to start a campaign by exemplifying how others saw a need in their community and why they decided to use GoFundMe to do something about it.

My role included strategic sell through and story mining for creative development.
